Role Overview:
Hamamatsu Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient National Sales Manager to lead U.S. sales efforts for our digital pathology solutions, including whole slide imaging (WSI) instrumentation, software, and associated accessories and services. This role is responsible for driving national revenue growth, developing strategic customer relationships, and building a high-performing sales organization capable of supporting long-term market expansion.

The ideal candidate combines strong capital equipment sales experience, deep knowledge of pathology workflows, and demonstrated success in developing and leading technical sales professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and deploy sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets for digital pathology products and services
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting for all stakeholders in the organization
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop a high-performing national sales team who are accountable to targets established based upon desired market growth
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, integrity, customer focus, and results among stakeholders from multiple departments
  • Actively maintain status of the market situation and competitive landscape in order to contribute to the development of sales enablement tools and success of the digital pathology business across all of Hamamatsu
  • Active selling and contract negotiation for direct sales as well as subordinate sales staff taking into consideration the input and requirements of different parts of the organization includes marketing, service and technology as applicable

This is a remote position.


Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years sales management experience in imaging based medical equipment or similar
  • BS/BA or higher degree in Biology, Physics, Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Direct Sales experience in capital equipment sales
  • Excellent communication skills. Comfortable with C-Suite conversations as well as conventional lab directors / managers
  • Technical understanding of how different parameters impact achievable impact image quality
  • Presentation (visual, written and oral) skills
Preferred qualifications:
  • CRM and Sales Pipeline Knowledge (e.g. SalesForce, D365, etc)

Pay Range
The target base salary for this role at commencement of employment is expected to be between $130,000 - $170,000 annually, in addition to commission and bonus opportunities. Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and qualifications.
